Patricia Anne Scott

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Patricia Anne Scott, who passed away at the age of 93 on August 30, 2026.

She will always be remembered for her incredible strength, determination, and strong-willed spirit. She was stubborn when she needed to be, never one to back down easily, but that same determination was part of what made her so strong. No matter what life brought her way, she always seemed to have a smile on her face.

She lived a full, active, and meaningful life, always making the most of her time and the people around her. She was rarely sitting still; you could often find her out and about, tending to her garden, visiting with friends, mingling with those around her, getting involved in her community, and always willing to lend a helping hand. She lived life on her own terms, stayed true to herself, and never stopped finding reasons to enjoy each day.

Patricia was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, greatgrandmother, and friend to many. She will be deeply missed by her daughters Donna and Terry, her sons, Robert (Antonella) and Patrick, son-in-law Ralph, grandchildren Scott (Tanya), Tyler, Mark, Greg (Kim), Amanda, and Adriana, and great-grandchildren Porter, Peyton, Michael, Gabriella, Greyson, Gareth, Reese, and Elle.

She was predeceased by her parents, Henry and Anne Morton; her brother, Sidney Morton; her husband, George; her children, George Patrick, Deborah Anne and Sharon Lee and her son-in-law, Mervin. Her strength and beautiful smile will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Rest peacefully, Patricia. You will be forever loved and missed.

A celebration of life was held in Smithers, BC, on Saturday, September 5th, 2026, at the Saint James Anglican Church.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at BVDH Hospital for the care and compassion they provided to Patricia. A special thank you to her nurse, Cam York, whose kindness and care went above and beyond during Patricia’s final moments.
