The B.C. government is pushing ahead with legislation this month to fast-track approvals of new mines and other major projects.

There are 17 critical mineral mines awaiting approval in the province, four of which are on Premier David Eby’s list of priority natural resource projects. Several additional precious metal mines are under development in B.C. that together could provide a significant economic boost.

Join us here tonight at 5:30 p.m. for a wide-ranging discussion of how to get these projects built in a way that protects the environment and capitalizes on increasing global demand for critical minerals and precious metals.

This livestreamed episode of Conversations Live hosted by Stuart McNish will also examine the role U.S. President Donald Trump plays in the future of mining in B.C.

The U.S. needs a vast supply critical minerals for everything from computers and electric vehicles to robots and military weapons. B.C. and Canada could help meet this demand.
