Abbotsford Police are searching for the driver of a white newer-model SUV they claim fired a pellet gun at several people over the course of three-and-a-half hours on Wednesday night.
“Between 6:20 p.m. and 9:46 p.m. last evening, five separate incidents were reported to police,” said spokesperson Sgt. Paul Walker on Thursday.
“In each case the victims described a white or light-coloured SUV occupied by younger South Asian males approaching them, followed by either the visible production of a firearm from within the vehicle or the sound of shots being fired in their direction,” Walker said.
“One individual sustained minor injury consistent with being struck by pellets.”
The incidents occurred between 6 to 6:30 p.m. at Peardonville Road and Emerson Street, 7 to 7:30 p.m. at Mt Lehman Road and Sandpiper Drive, from 7:15 to 7:45 p.m. on the 3100-block of Mt Lehman Road, from 7:30 to 8 p.m. at George Ferguson Way and Gladwin Road and between 9:30 to 10 p.m. on the 32900-block of South Fraser Way.
