Police believe pair knew each other and describe it as a ‘very sad case’ after woman found dead in Bude on Sunday

A man, 65, has been arrested on suspicion of murder after a 93-year-old woman was found dead in a town on the north coast of Cornwall.

Police have said they believe the woman and man were known to each other and described it as a “very sad case”. They said extra police officers would be seen on the streets of Bude, a popular holiday destination, but stressed it was being treated as an “isolated” incident.
