A man is dead after a shooting at a home in Abbotsford on Friday.
Abbotsford police responded to a shots fired call at a home in the 3200-block of Siskin Drive just after 12:35 p.m., said police spokesman Sgt. Paul Walker.
“The residence was known to police and the man deceased is well-known to police and connected to B.C.’s gang conflict,” said Walker.
The shooting was targeted, but not related to extortion.
The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team has been notified and will conduct the investigation.
There is no risk to the public, said police.
Siskin Drive, which is in west Abbotsford, is closed between Sandpiper Drive and Stellar Court.
There is a heavy police presence in the 3200 Block of Siskin Drive as a result of a targeted shooting.
