Watch live: House convenes hearing on released JFK assassination records

The House Oversight Committee's Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets is holding a hearing Tuesday afternoon on the release of former President John F. Kennedy's assassination records.

American filmmaker Oliver Stone — whose political thriller, “JFK,” made waves more than 30 years ago — is set to testify about the documents.

The National Archives unveiled nearly 2,200 files earlier this month related to the 1963 assassination, after President Trump pledged to make the remaining documents available to the public.

The hearing is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. EDT.
