Sponsers Back Out, World Cup Event Cancelled

The sixth and final Speed World Cup event of the season was set to take place in Klagenfurt, Austria in July. The International Federation of Sport Climbing (IFSC) just announced that the event is being removed from the 2025 World Cup calendar due to sponsor withdrawal.

The Klagenfurt event organizers, ACTS Sportveranstaltungen GmbH, are now unable to host the event with absolute certainty, leaving the IFSC without a host for the final Speed World Cup event for the season. The IFSC says it is now working to find an alternative venue and city to host the event

The cancelling of the Klagenfurt event does not affect the Boulder and Lead World Cup event in Innsbruck, Austria scheduled for June 25-29. The Austria event is organized by Austria Climbing, not ACTS Sportveranstaltungen GmbH.
