Here's a roundup of all the free concerts happening on Canada Day 2026 around Metro Vancouver.

If you want to keep those elbows up this year for Canada Day, there are plenty of places where you can do that across Metro Vancouver.

Municipalities across Metro Vancouver are hosting celebrations on July 1 with family-friendly activities, food trucks, beer gardens and more.

Almost all will have live entertainment and performances that are free to enjoy, with acts ranging from buzzy local groups to some big-name acts.

Burnaby: StreetFest on Central

Where: Civic Square, Central Boulevard and Central Park

When: 6:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Burnaby has several events throughout the city on July 1, but the show to see will be at StreetFest, where Dragonette will headline. Other acts also taking the main stage are Alicia Creti , Logan Staats , and Burnaby’s own Jordel who follows in the steps of Frank Ocean, Miguel, and Prince.


Coquitlam: Canada Day

Where: Town Centre Park

When: 12 noon to 10:30 p.m.

Enjoy a full afternoon and evening of celebrations at Coquitlam’s Town Centre Park, capped off with a headlining performance from Famous Players and a fireworks show.


North Vancouver: Canada Day at the Shipyards

Where: North Vancouver Shipyards

When: 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

If you would like to be right in the middle of both Canada Day and World Cup action, North Vancouver’s Shipyards may be the spot for you. Canada Day celebrations at the Shipyards will include live music, local artisans, as well as the Canada Soccer House activation where World Cup matches will be livestreamed.


Port Coquitlam: Canada Day

Kick back on a picnic blanket and enjoy this hugely popular celebration while listening to the open-road, summer sounds of Canadian country artist Owen Riegling who will headline the event. For those who like to throw it back to some classic rock, Halifax-based rock band April Wine will also take the stage.


Richmond: Steveston Salmon Festival

Where: Steveston Village

The Steveston Salmon Festival has been a Canada Day tradition for Richmond for 79 years. Enjoy the iconic salmon bake and a headlining performance from Barney Bentall and the Legendary Hearts, as well as a number of local acts and tributes bands.


Surrey: Canada Day

Where: Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre

When: From 10 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.

Surrey is going to be a little bit country this year for Canada Day. Canadian country artist Josh Ross will headline Surrey’s Canada Day event, along with rock artist Lee Aaron, pop rock performer Tyler Shaw, Reckless: Canada’s Tribute to Bryan Adams, Brass Camel, and Métis artist Berk Joidon.


Vancouver: Canada Together

Where: Canada Place

When: 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the annual Canada Place event. Enjoy a family-friendly area for kids, a main stage with live performances by The Matinee and The Strumbellas, and a special exhibit looking back at the legacy of Expo 86.


West Vancouver: Canada Day 2026

Bon Jovi fans know where to go to celebrate Canada Day. White Rock will host a free all-ages event, complete with a headlining performance from Bon Jovi tribute act Bad Medicine.
