A partial eclipse rising over Greater Victoria inspired residents to get out in the dark and capture the scene Thursday (Aug. 28) evening.
Also called a blood moon, a lunar eclipse happens when Earth moves directly between the sun and the moon, blocking sunlight and casting a shadow on the lunar surface.
For folks feeling fatigued in the wake of the lunar eclipse, astrological impact may hold the answer. Known as an energetic cleanser in astrology, the blood moon is said to bring hidden truths to the surface, induce emotional culmination and signal a turning point to close out old chapters. This intensified full moon can be exhausting and heighten intuition.
