BURSTIt is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Barbara Joan Miles (née Storey) at the age of 83, in Smithers, British Columbia. Barb passed peacefully on December 30, 2025.
Barb was born on December 7, 1942, in Smithers, BC, to Laurie and Isabelle Storey. She married Edward David Miles (Dave) on January 16, 1960, and together they raised five sons: Alan, Pat, Ron, Gary, and Michael.
Barb was predeceased by her brothers, Terry and Jim, and by her son Ron.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband Dave, her brother Bob, her sons, her grandchildren Aaron, Katelyn, Autumn, and Amie, her great-grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
In keeping with Barb’s wishes, no service or memorial will be held. Those who wish to honour her memory are invited to make a donation to any local organization that supports seniors in the community.
Barb will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
