Live results: Florida voters choose Gaetz successor in special election

A special election in Florida's 1st Congressional District will determine who will the seat formerly held by Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.).

The race is one of two special elections being held in the Sunshine State on Tuesday, though most of the attention will be on the one held in the 6th district, on the east coast. Outgoing chief financial officer Jimmy Patronis, a Republican, is squaring off against Democrat Gay Valimont, who ran for the seat last year as well.
