Ukraine Reports Record Russian War Losses in a Day

Ukraine said it has set a record in Russian troops killed or wounded between Oct. 21-22, 2026, with the country’s General Staff claiming 2,250 Russian casualties within 24 hours, topping the previous record of 2,200 set in December 2024. Ukrainian sources attribute losses to Russia’s open infantry tactics across open ground being picked off by drones. The record also counters Trump’s claim that Ukraine is failing to stop Russian attacks.
