Zachary Levi says he hasn't been canceled over Trump support

Despite predicting he could be committing "career suicide" when he endorsed former President Trump's White House bid, Zachary Levi now says the move hasn't negatively impacted his career in Hollywood.

"I hope I haven't been canceled yet," the "Shazam!" star said with a laugh while appearing this week on Bill Maher's "Club Random" podcast.

"I mean if it happens, it happens," Levi said, after Maher referred to the actor as having been "canceled" over his support for Trump.

The 44-year-old performer, who had previously supported Robert F. Kennedy Jr.'s independent 2024 run, announced he was backing Trump at an event in Michigan in September.

“Within my industry, as you can probably imagine, Hollywood is a very, very liberal town, and this very well could constitute career suicide," Levi said at the time.

But on Maher's show, he said entering the political fray hadn't changed his workload: "I already had multiple jobs that I was in the process of shooting or that I have yet to shoot, and none of those have been compromised."

"None of my producers or any of these studios behind those films or projects have called and said, 'Hey, listen, this is a line too far and we can't have you associated with the project anymore.' We're all still full steam ahead on those," he said.

Levi said he planned to consult his team and talk about his upcoming projects: "They might say, 'Hey, listen, we've had some phone calls with some people, and they don't want to work with you anymore.'"

"I have yet to see what the ultimate effects of all that are going to be," he told Maher.

"How it ultimately plays out in the future, I don't know."
