Prime Minister Mark Carney is revealing his new cabinet at a swearing-in ceremony at Rideau Hall that started at about 10:45 a.m. ET. The inner circle includes many new faces, and just 28 ministers. “Canada’s new Ministry is built to deliver the change Canadians want and deserve,” Carney said in a statement. “Everyone is expected and empowered to show leadership – to bring new ideas, a clear focus, and decisive action to their work.”Carney also announced 10 secretaries of state.
